Is Your Support A Little Late?


A friendly reminder to all members of the Johnson Lake Property Owners Association: membership fees are due as of March 1st. Your investment in the future of our lake is just $10 per family. In 2003, you played a part in a number of successes worth reviewing.

JLPOA President Dan Young said it quite well in his report to the membership this winter. "The Board wishes to thank all of you who continue your memberships and generous support of the Johnson Lake Property Owners Association. As you know, our Association has no rulemaking authority; we simply strive to develop programs and initiatives that positively affect our lake."

Accomplishments for 2003 include:

Sponsoring another successful 4th of July weekend picnic at the Tomnitz farm
Obtained a state grant for additional lake water testing equipment
Updated the Eurasian Milfoil signage at the public boat landing
Established our website, www.johnsonlake.org
Provided member attendance at the Wisconsin Rivers and Lakes Association seminar
Continued involvement in the UW and DNR water testing programs.
