JLPOA Annual Meeting Set for June 25

The annual meeting of the Johnson Lake Property Owners Association is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday June 25th at the Webster Fire Hall. Dave Ferris, the Burnett County Conservationist will be the main speaker. JLPOA President Bob Polkinghorn says, "He will talk about the Milfoild problem and shoreline management. He is a very knowledgeable and I know you will find this program interesting.

Polkinghorn says says "Dick Golding will show the results of the water sampling that has been done. The lake is degrading and we all need to know how to slow this process. Dave will tell us how!"

New board members will also be elected during the meeting, so step forward if you're interested. Polkinghorn says, "I know it's hard to set aside a couple of hours on a beautiful Saturday, but remember, it's your lake and our association is only as good as its members."

The association will send a letter to non members asking them to join the group and attend the meeting. As of the May 14th Directors meeting, the JLPOA included 69 paid members.

Copies of Cabin Life will be handed out at the meeting. A year's subscription will also be given away in a drawing at the meeting. See you there!
