Christmas at the Fort Set for December 1, 2, 3

Christmas at the Fort is always an enjoyable event and this year will be just as  exciting and enjoyable.  The Visitor Center will again be filled with the aroma of good food and the sounds of holiday music in the great room, the Gift Shop and Elves Store will  provide shopping, and the Silent Auction and Lions Clubs Trees to be raffled will be located in the theater room.

Outside activities will include sleigh rides, animals from the Burnett County Humane Society, story telling in the wigwam, a roaring bonfire and the outdoor food stand.  2006 will mark the debut of the Karlsborg School , where Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus will greet visitors! Youngsters will also enjoy decorating trees and  face painting in the schoolhouse.  New this year is the opportunity to visit the Palmer House Research  Library with volunteers on hand to answer questions.  Of course the entire grounds will be festive, with decorated trees, lights and greenery.

Wild rice soup, chili and breads will be served Friday evening, Saturday noon and evening and Sunday noon.  Rolls and coffee will be served on Saturday morning. Hot dogs, popcorn, and beverages will be available each day at the outside food stand.
