Project Loon Watch - Nesting Activty Resumed


As of Memorial Day weekend, one pair of loons was maintaining a nest on the island in the main lake.

We're told their first eggs were lost and nest abandoned. Please watch out for the loons and hopefully for their new baby. The eagles nesting in the bay may make this a challenging year for the loons. We should add that this photo was cropped from an image taken with a very long lens. We don't want to get close enough to upset the new mom!
