How to Navigate This Website

The beauty of this kind of site is that you can navigate in a number of ways. It's really quite simple and -- we hope -- lots of fun.

As we said in the first post, the messages appear on the first page with the most recent entry normally at the top. The number of entries depends largely on how often people contribute information and ideas. Feel free to email me at jokerstrom1@mac.com with your news and I'll post it as quickly as possible.

Below each story on the first page (also called a home page), you'll see light brown text listing the category where it's filed, followed by the words "Read More." Clicking on the category will send you to a list of all stories in that category. Clicking on "Read More" sends you to the rest of the story -- and in some cases, photos. The navigation tools change when you go into the body of the story, so you can return to the home page or to the category in which the story is filed.

Notice how the information in the blue title bar changes as you navigate the site to show your location. Since you're reading this story, the blue bar tells you you're in the Johnson Lake Property Owners Association weblog and in the "About This Website" category. Pretty neat!

You can return to the "home" page or other locations using the Quick Links above the photo of the month in the upper right corner of the page.

You can also view entries by clicking on a specific date on the calendar. Or by topic. Each category has a specific Icon. Natural Attraction, for example, includes the loon head icon. A tree frog marks the Association Business category and so on. If you have a suggestion for a category, please let us know.

At a certain point, information drops off the first page and can be seen in the archive area. If you have a question about how to get around the site or a suggestion for a new feature, please let us know.
