Welcome to Our JLPOA Blog! New Site Launches September 17, 2003


What's a Blog? Well, Blog short for Weblog. It's a website that usually contains short, frequently updated posts. We hope that frequent updates give you a reason to visit often -- and to contribute.

You'll always find the newest information at the top of the page. We're hoping that making it fast and easy to post updates will increase the exchange of information and sense of community. Navigating the site is easy. We've written a little about it in another story. Click on the "About This Website" text at the bottom of this story to find it.

Weblogs are among the fastest growing trends on the internet, because they make building pages like this relatively fast and easy and because they take care of most of the computer coding automatically. This is a very good thing!

At this point, we can easily post text and photographs. We may be able to add things like web polls, discussion forums, video clips and maybe even a live webcam from Johnson Lake. (Wouldn't that be cool!) We want to know what you want most in the Association website. Send your comments and suggestions and we'll post them this category. We'll also introduce new website features here, so check back often.

If you have news or photos to share, please send them. The text can be in email form. Please keep photo attachments under 1MB in size. Jpg format is fine. We'll publish your name with stories and photos you submit.

We've already acted on suggestions from some members about the size of some graphics and thank you for your positive feedback and constructive criticism.
